Chief Minister of Uttarakhand Pushkar Singh Dhami today launched the Dettol School Hygiene Education Program Uttarakhand at Chief Sevak Sadan located at the Chief Minister’s residence. This program will be run in 13 thousand primary schools of all the 13 districts of Uttarakhand.
CM Dhami said that the Dettol School Hygiene Education Program would bring about a change in the daily behavior of children towards cleanliness. It is necessary to create awareness among children about cleanliness in personal, schools, homes and surrounding areas. Children move forward following the discipline that children get in the early stages of life.
The coming 25 years will be of nectar for the country, these children of today will be the captains of the country after 25 years, it is necessary to give them the right direction. Uttarakhand is the first state in the country to implement the National Education Policy-2020.
For the implementation of the National Education Policy, Bal Vatikas have been started in 4457 co-located Anganwadi centers in the state. New programs like ‘Praveshotsav’, ‘Aarohi’, ‘Kaushalam’, ‘Anandam’, ‘Vidya Setu’ are being conducted. To promote online education, virtual classrooms have been established in 500 schools of central studios and all 13 districts of the state.
The Start-up Policy has been implemented with the objective of promoting research and start-ups in higher educational institutions. In higher education, subjects like Vedic Science, Vedic Mathematics and Management Introduction to Bhagavad Gita have been implemented as co-curriculars with the aim of acquainting the students with Indian culture and Indian knowledge system.
On this occasion Secretary Education Ravinath Raman, Director General Education Banshidhar Tiwari, Director External Affairs & Partnership, SOA, Reckitt Ravi Bhatnagar, Executive Director Plan India Mohammad Asif were present on the occasion.
