Uttarakhand government is preparing to increase the circle rate by January 2023. For this, proposals have been sought from all the district magistrates on behalf of the government. If everything goes according to the preparations, then the circle rates will be increased in January. In terms of highest circle rate of land, Harki Paidi has the highest circle rate in Haridwar.
Rates did not increase due to Kovid and elections
The circle rates of lands in the state have not increased for the last two years. Circle rates were not increased due to Kovid in 2021 while in view of the state assembly elections in 2022. But now once again preparations have been started to increase the circle rate. Sources said that a decision in this regard was taken in the meeting of the Finance Department sometime back. After which a proposal to increase the circle rate has been sought from the districts.
Circle rate increases by 10% every year
After getting the proposal from the districts, now further action will be taken in this matter. Circle rates are increased every year in the state at an average rate of 10 percent. But sometimes the Finance Department increases the circle rate of some particular areas more than the prescribed limit to bring uniformity in the rates of circle rate. However, it is not yet decided how much the circle rate will be increased this time. Finance Department Secretary Dilip Jawalkar has confirmed the demand for proposal in respect of circle rate.
District administration started preparations, Dehradun DM Sonika told that it has been asked to prepare a proposal regarding increasing the circle rate. In this regard, preparations have been started.
Highest circle rate of land in Harki Paidi area
At present, the circle rate of land between Harki Paidi to Kotwali Nagar Tiraha in Haridwar is the highest in the state. The circle rate of the land here is running at 57 thousand per square meter. After this, the most expensive are the circle rates of Rajpur Road in Doon. Here the circle rate per square meter from Ghantaghar to RTO is 50 thousand rupees. However, the actual land rates are many times higher than this.
