Mild effect of western disturbance passing through the neighboring state of Punjab and northwesterly cold winds have once again changed the weather pattern in Uttarakhand from plains to mountains. According to Vikram Singh, director of the Meteorological Center, there will be some respite from the heat due to the activity of north-westerly winds for the next three-four days. There will be a drop of three to four degrees in temperature from plains to mountains.
On February 25 and 26, there is a possibility of light rain once again with strong winds from the plains to the mountains. However, after February 28, due to the pressure of south-easterly winds, once again the heat wave will be seen.
According to meteorologists, there has been very less rainfall in the month of February this year. If you look at the figures, in the month of February where there should have been 44.7 mm of normal rainfall, the entire state has received an average of 2.5 mm of rain.
