Rudraprayag: Uttarakhand Meteorological Center has warned of heavy rain in Dehradun in next 24 hours. After which orders have been issued to keep the school closed on 26 September i.e. today. Chief Education Officer Dr. Mukul Kumar Sati issued orders in this regard.
It was said in the order that all schools, Anganwadi centers and madrasas should be kept closed. Schools are already closed on the occasion of Maharaj Agrasen Jayanti.
I have received instructions from District Magistrate Dehradun to say that in view of the safety of students in heavy rains, all educational institutions, government-government schools, private schools will remain completely closed.
All the Heads of Institutes are directed to ensure strict compliance of the above order. It also tells how the weather will be today.
Meteorological Department has predicted heavy rains at some places in Bageshwar, Chamoli, Dehradun, Pithoragarh, Rudraprayag, Tehri Garhwal and Uttarkashi in the next 24 hours.
However, after four days, the weather has opened in many areas of the state, after which the work of opening the closed roads is going on.
Due to torrential rains throughout the night in Yamuna valley including Yamunotri Dham, Yamuna river, Gadre are in spate.
Due to the closure of Yamunotri Highway at various places, the vehicles of devotees are stuck at different places. Gangotri Highway is closed due to continuous stone fall near Helgu Gad.
Efforts are being made by the BRO to make the road smooth at the above place. Yamunotri National Highway is closed due to debris accumulation near Dabarkot, Dharasu Band, Kalyani and Silkyara Margaon.
