Nanda Gaura Yojana: CM Dhami credited gift money to 80000 girls on 1st. Navratri

Dehradun: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Monday participated in ‘Nanda Gaura Yojana’ program organized by Department of Women’s Empowerment and Child Development at Mukhya Sevak Sadan, CM residence, Dehradun.

During this digital transfer of Rs 323 crore 22 lakh was done through PFMS to 80 thousand beneficiary girls under Nanda Gaura Yojana.

On this occasion, Chief Minister 5310 girls of 2017-18 session, 460 girls of 2018-19 session, 1567 girls of 2019-20 session, 16210 girls of 2020-21 session and 56177 girls of 2021-22 session, thus totaling 80 thousand.

Funds were transferred through digital medium to the deprived beneficiary girls. While wishing everyone a happy Shardiya Navratri, Chief Minister said that on this auspicious occasion, I feel fortunate to transfer money to daughters of the state.

Cabinet Minister Rekha Arya, while congratulating Sharadiya Navratri, said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had started Maha Abhiyan of ‘Beti Bachao Beti Padhao’, this Nanda Gaura scheme also takes girl child on path of making them strong and self-reliant in the same context.

She said that, we should make dynamic progress in the overall development of every girl, from the birth of a girl child till her education and marriage, government always stands by her.

She said that every girl child has the right to get full opportunity to develop her potential. Along with this, it will be called both the land of gods and land of goddesses.

Cabinet Minister Rekha Arya informed that under Nanda Gaura Yojna from 2017-18 to 2021-22, an amount of ₹ 323 crore 22 lakh has been transferred through PFMS to 80 thousand beneficiary girls and this year from 2022.

The whole process will be done online so that eligible girls do not have to make rounds of government offices to get these benefits, where they girls understand their duties, and their role and contribution to the society in future. So that in the coming time, she contributes to the development of the country as well as the state of Uttarakhand.
