Uttarakhand Education Minister Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat, who reached Rudrapur, made a big announcement for the toppers of Uttarakhand Board. He said that an amount of Rs 25,000 and a certificate would be given to the toppers in the examination.
He said that free books would also be distributed in recognized schools. Two playgrounds will be built in every Municipal Corporation area under PM Shri Yojana and sports equipment will be given in all the schools. Along with this, health ID will be made for every child and free treatment will be given to 40,00,000 children of the state. The government has set a target of making every child fully literate.
The Education Minister said that vocational courses would be conducted in 400 inter-colleges of the state and tablets would be distributed to the teachers. Every year 25 children will go to other states like Karnataka, Kerala etc. to get training there and children from other states will reach Uttarakhand.
Said that the history of Uttarakhand will be taught to children from class one to fifth, in which the history of great men of every district will be included. Along with this, he talked about providing education in mother tongues like Kumaoni, Garhwali, Punjabi etc. and announced to recruit 1000 new teachers in Maths and Science subjects.
Education Minister Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat said these things while formally inaugurating the state level sports and cultural competition. Education Minister and Minister of State for Defense Ajay Bhatt started the three-day sports competition amidst cultural programmes.
This competition has been organized from December 6 to December 8 at the Manoj Sarkar Sports Stadium in Rudrapur. In which students of primary and upper primary classes are participating. Children from class one to eight have reached the program with full enthusiasm. Children from all 13 districts of the state are participating in sports and cultural events.
