Seva Pakhwada 2022: CM Dhami participated in ‘Swachhta Gaurav Samman’ program

Dehradun: Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami honored the cleanliness messengers and beneficiaries of PM Svanidhi and the winners of essay and painting competition in the ‘Swachhta Gaurav Samman’ program under Seva Pakhwada 2022 at the Chief Minister’s residence.

Expressing gratitude to the ‘Swachhata Doots’, Chief Minister Dhami said that their determination and efforts have written a new chapter of cleanliness in the state.

He said that the state of Uttarakhand has won awards in six different categories under the Swachh Bharat Mission-Gramin. He congratulated all the sanitation messengers, Urban Development Department, Drinking Water and Sanitation Department for this.

Chief Minister said that our cleanliness ambassadors are the pivot of the cleanliness campaign. Cleanliness has always been a top priority in Indian culture and philosophy. Increased awareness in the society about cleanliness is the key mantra which has ensured the success of cleanliness campaign.

He said that it is a matter of pride for every resident of Uttarakhand that in the Swachh Survekshan-2022, four bodies of our urban area will be honored by the President on October 1.

CM Dhami said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi such a great campaign of cleanliness is being run, whose success is being discussed all over the world.

When people’s participation is added to the efforts of the government, the power of those efforts increases manifold. Devbhoomi Uttarakhand is a major center of faith as well as a tourism state.

There is a close relationship between cleanliness and tourism, and where there is cleanliness, there is a definite increase in tourism.

Urban Development Minister Prem Chand Agarwal, Agriculture and Military Welfare Minister Ganesh Joshi, Mayor Sunil Uniyal Gama, MLA Durgesh Lal and other dignitaries were present on the occasion.
