Dehradun: Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami suddenly reached the Interstate Bus Stand (ISBT) in Dehradun on Thursday. He made a surprise inspection of the arrangements for seating, drinking water, sanitation, toilets for the passengers there.
Pushkar Singh Dhami directed the officials of the Transport Corporation to make all the arrangements in view of the convenience of the passengers and directed to make full arrangement of benches for the passengers to sit within a week.
He asked them to ensure that the drinking water supply is not disrupted. Special attention should be paid to cleanliness in toilets.
At the same time, the Chief Minister inspected the counter of Uttarakhand Transport Corporation and directed that all the information should be pasted on the board in view of the convenience of the passengers.
Elderly people should not face any problem for commuting, arrangements should be made to help them at the counter. During this, the Chief Minister interacted with the passengers in buses and took stock of various arrangements.
Let us inform that Pushkar Singh Dhami is the first Chief Minister who himself went inside the buses and interacted with the passengers to take stock of the public facilities. Earlier, such inspection was done only by the transport officers.
