President of India, Draupadi Murmu is coming to Dehradun on December 8 on a two-day visit. During this, she will take a night rest at ‘Ashiyana’ located at The President’s Bodyguard Estate here. The President will be in Dehradun on December 8 and 9. His proposed program has been received by the government and related institutions.
President Murmu will reach Dehradun on December 8. After this she will go to Raj Bhavan. At night she will rest in Ashiana. On December 9, the President will first address the prospective IAS officers at the Lal Bahadur Shastri Academy of Administration, Mussoorie.
Later in the day, she will attend the convocation ceremony of Doon University as the chief guest. In view of the President’s visit, a meeting was held at the government level on Monday. In this, instructions were given to strengthen all the arrangements from security.
The convocation ceremony of Doon University will be held on December 9. President Draupadi Murmu will attend it as the chief guest. Vice Chancellor of the University Prof. Surekha Dangwal said that the preparations for the President’s visit are going on fast. It is being told that about 650 students will be given degrees in the university function. On the other hand, 36 will get Gold Medal and 16 will get PhD Award.
