Winter session of the Uttarakhand Legislative Assembly has started from today. Apart from the Ankita murder case and Kedar Bhandari episode related to law and order, there is a possibility of uproar on the Uttarakhand Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UKSSSC) examination scam in the session that continues till December 5.

On the other hand, even before the commencement of the session, MLA Tilakraj Behad sat on protest in the Vidhan Sabha regarding the law and order situation in Kichha. He said that law and order is not good in Kichha. There is an atmosphere of fear among the people because of the hooliganism. Farmers are being saved. Government should take action on this.
Take care dignity of House, words & conduct: Khanduri
Assembly Speaker Ritu Khanduri Bhushan appealed to the MLAs of all parties to be mindful of words and conduct to create dignity of the House. At the same time, in a peaceful environment, after having a healthy discussion on the issues of public interest, he urged to convey his point to the government.
‘I have experienced team to run the house’
On the question of staff shortage after sacking 228 personnel, the Speaker said that at present 182 personnel are deployed in the Assembly Secretariat. There is an experienced team to run the house. Those who have experience of running the House since 2000. I have full faith in my staff that the winter session will also go well. The Speaker said that the Himachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly has 120 employees and 69 MLAs. The house functions there too.

Supplementary budget of Rs 4,867 crore will be presented
On the first day of the assembly session, Finance Minister Premchand Aggarwal will present a supplementary budget of about Rs 4,867 crore in the House. During the session, ordinances and bills will be kept on the floor of the house by the government. So far, the state secretariat has received information about one ordinance and six bills from the government. The supplementary budget will be presented in the House at 4 pm.
These bills will be introduced
On behalf of the government, several bills will be kept in the House in the winter session, in which Uttarakhand state agitators and their dependents have an effective bill for reservation in state services, Bengal Agra and Assam Civil Court (Uttarakhand Amendment and Supplementary Provisions) Bill, Uttarakhand Shops and Establishments (Employment Regulation and Service Condition) Amendment Bill, University of Petroleum and Energy Studies Amendment Bill, Uttarakhand Religion Freedom Amendment Bill, Indian Stamp Amendment Bill, Uttarakhand Goods and Services Tax Amendment Bill will be placed in the House.
