Missing girl headache averted for police, Meenakshi said I married willingly

Haldwani: Meenakshi was missing since September 25. Today missing girl said that she married her lover. Even 164 statements recorded before the magistrate. Meenakshi studying M.Ed and was missing from Kathgodam area for last 3 days.

Student Meenakshi had left home for college on Monday but did not reach home. Family and police were constantly searching for her. After 3 days, Kathgodam Police has traced her from Almora safely. Meenakshi has got love married with Rajendra, resident of Almora.

Although, police have recorded statement of section 164 before the magistrate. During interrogation, missing girl was told that she is in love with Rajendra resident of Almora.

While issuing her statement, student said that my family members wanted to get me married to Devendra, resident of Haldwani. I had also got engaged. Family members used to pressurize me for marriage. My fiancé Devendra used to harass me mentally. I got fed up and ran away from the house and went to Almora to my lover. Now I have married Rajendra in Sitalakhet temple.

Father of M.Ed student, resident of Damuvadhunga Baidikhatta, had lodged missing report on Monday at Kathgodam police station. After Meenakshi was seen in CCTV camera installed out of Subhash Chandra house, located at Tiraha.
