A meeting will be held in the Prime Minister’s Office today on the issue of Joshimath disaster. In this, the National Disaster Management Authority will give a presentation on Joshimath. The Prime Minister’s Office is constantly monitoring the disaster in Joshimath.
On January 8, Principal Secretary to the Prime Minister, Dr. PK Mishra had reviewed in the high level meeting. After this, scientists from eight institutes investigated the Joshimath episode.

The institutes have sent their preliminary report to NDMA. In the meeting to be held today, on the basis of the reports of scientific institutions, a blueprint of measures to solve the problems can be presented.
Apart from this, special guidelines can be given to Uttarakhand in this regard by the PMO. The progress made so far on Joshimath will be reviewed in the meeting. Along with the Chief Secretary, officials of the Disaster Management Department will be present in the meeting.
