Landslide is not stopping in Joshimath. Till now cracks have appeared in 849 buildings of the city. At the same time, after Hotel Mount View and Malari Inn, cracks have also come in two other hotels Comet and Snow Crest. Hotels have started meeting each other. At the same time, landslides are also taking place in the upper and lower parts of Tehsil buildings.
They are being monitored by CBRI. Secretary Disaster Management Dr. Sinha said that if there is a need for demolition, they will also be demolished after following the entire process. CBRI has installed crack meters on houses. From this the trend of cracks is being detected.
At the same time, the guest house of the Public Works Department has also become skewed. The entire building here has caved in on one side. That’s why the administration has put a sticker on it for demolition. After two hotels, now this government building will be demolished.

Told that there has been an increase of one to two millimeters in some houses and cracks on the ground, but there have been no cracks in the new houses. At the same time, the work of filling the cracks in the fields is also going on so that water does not seep inside the ground.
On the other hand, the weather is bad in Joshimath. The coming four days could be difficult for the ongoing relief operations and studies in the city. The Meteorological Department has predicted rain and snowfall in Joshimath, Chamoli and Pithoragarh on January 19, 20, 23 and 24.
Keeping in view the danger in Jaypee Colony, it has been decided to demolish the unsafe buildings. After conducting the survey by CBRI, unsafe houses will be demolished in a scientific manner like hotels.

At the same time, the demolition work of Hotel Mount View continues on Tuesday as well. Here the work of breaking the roof with diamond cutter is being done. Action will be taken to demolish the hotel from top to bottom.
