Next four days could be difficult for the ongoing relief operations and studies in Joshimath. The Meteorological Department has predicted rain and snowfall in Joshimath, Chamoli and Pithoragarh on January 19, 20, 23 and 24.
On the other hand, today there is light sunshine and somewhere it is cloudy. Whereas, there was light fog in Haridwar and surrounding areas in the morning. But as the day progressed, a little sunshine blossomed.
According to meteorologists, there is a possibility of change in the weather pattern in the state due to re-activation of Western Disturbance on these four dates. According to Bikram Singh, director of the Meteorological Center, there is a possibility of rain on January 19 and 20, while there is a possibility of snowfall with rain on January 23 and 24.
In such a situation, the government, the administration and the district administration need to be vigilant in the disaster affected area of Joshimath.
According to Singh, the chances of continuation of Western Disturbance are slightly less, which is a matter of relief. According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of dense fog in districts like Udham Singh Nagar and Haridwar and frost at some places in the mountainous areas in the next 24 hours.
