Amit Kholia, a resident of Haldwani, has filed a public interest litigation saying that the Indira Gandhi International Sports Stadium in Haldwani has been built on 15.20 hectares of forest land at a cost of Rs 200 crore, whose work has not been completed yet. The construction agencies are being changed time and again by the government to make it.
Now the government has given contract to Uttarakhand drinking water construction to complete this work. While 38th National Games were to be held in this stadium, but the contract has been given for the construction of complete drinking water.
