CM Pushkar Singh Dhami salutes the martyrs of ‘Salt Revolution’

CM paid floral tributes at the statue of martyrs at Khumad, Salt.

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami today participated in the Martyrs’ Day program organized in the memory of ‘Salt Revolution’ on 5th September at Salt, Almora. On this occasion, he paid floral tributes at the statue of martyrs at Khumad, Salt. During this, he also made many important announcements.

Chief Minister Dhami announced the construction of a grand martyr memorial in Khumad, Salt from tehsil complex, Salt, declaring the fair organized on 5th September Martyrs’ Day as a state fair and installation of interlocking tiles at the freedom struggle fighter Shaheed Chudamani Government Inter College, Khumad Maidan.

Paying homage to the martyrs, the Chief Minister said that these great salt revolutionaries have inscribed the name of Uttarakhand in golden letters in the history of the national freedom movement. The ‘Salt Revolution’ has been an unforgettable chapter of the freedom movement. During this, CM Dhami apprised the people about the welfare schemes being run for the people of the state.

On this occasion MP Ajay Tamta, MLA Mahesh Jina, Pramod Nainwal, former MLA Mahesh Negi, BJP District President Ravi Rautela and other dignitaries were present.
