Uttarakhand Corona Update: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami held a meeting with the Health Department regarding Corona, in which the prevention of Corona in Uttarakhand was discussed. The CM said that for effective control of Kovid, a campaign should be launched to apply booster dose in the state. Camps will be set up for booster dose from tomorrow itself.
Chief Minister Dhami held meeting at Secretariat on Thursday for effective control over Covid. He asked to activate the control rooms in all the districts. The Chief Minister said that genome sequencing should also be done for the new cases of Covid that will come.
CM directed the officials to motivate people to apply booster dose. It should also be widely publicized through various mediums. He also directed the Chief Secretary to conduct regular review of Covid. The Chief Minister said that the demand for Covid booster dose should be sent to the Central Government immediately. Full availability of all necessary resources should be maintained.
Health Minister Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat participated virtually in the meeting. He said that maximum attention should be paid to booster dose. He said that almost 100 percent people have been administered the first and second dose of Covid in the state. A massive campaign will be launched for booster dose.
In the meeting, Chief Secretary Dr. S.S. Sandhu, Additional Chief Secretary Radha Raturi, DGP Ashok Kumar, Secretary Mr. Ranjit Sinha, Dr. R.K. Rajesh Kumar, Vinod Kumar Suman, Additional Secretary Amardeep Kaur and officials of Health Department were present.
Uttarakhand alert about new variants
Uttarakhand has also become alert regarding the new variant of Corona virus. New SOP (Standard Operating Procedure) will be issued soon following the guidelines of the Central Government. Director General of Health Dr. Shailja Bhatt has also instructed all districts to send 10 percent samples of corona infected for genome sequencing.
Uttarakhand has also issued instructions to the districts for genome sequencing along with increasing monitoring following the guidelines of the central government due to the rapid increase in the cases of corona infection in many countries including China. Meanwhile, on Thursday, Chief Minister Dhami held a meeting with the officials of the Health Department.
Director General of Health Dr. Shailja Bhatt, after holding a meeting of departmental officers, instructed the CMO that genome sequencing of 10 percent samples of corona infected should be compulsorily done. So that new strains of corona can be detected. He told that the old form of Omicron still has influence in the state. No new variant of the virus has been found.
