Dehradun: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that our effort is to include Uttarakhand among the leading states of the country by 2025. For this, according to the public sentiments, attention is being paid to determine the direction of development of the state. Our effort is to double the growth rate of the state in the next 5 years.
Development of the state is not his alone but the collective journey of 1.25 crore people of the state. While addressing the “Building New Uttarakhand Conclave” organized at a hotel located near ISBT, Haridwar Bypass Road on Wednesday, the Chief Minister while expressing gratitude to the godlike people of the state said that the same party would break the myth of forming the government twice in the state.
A new history has been made. Working as a partner of the people, we are working to make the government and the government accessible to the marginal and remote areas of the state. Work is also being done with commitment to make the impact of public welfare policies and public facilities visible on the ground. He said that effective action plan has been prepared in the direction of health, education, roads as well as horticulture and industrial development. National New Education Policy has been implemented in the state.
Chief Minister said that the State Government, under the guidance of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, is dedicated towards the all-round development of Uttarakhand. Special focus has been given on simplification, solution, disposal and satisfaction so that people get the benefits of the schemes and their problems are solved. Now any person of the state can contribute towards ending corruption by complaining on 1064.
We have constituted a committee for Uniform Civil Code as promised by us. Three meetings of the committee have also been held. The Chief Minister said that we have a plan to expand the physical infrastructure and transport facilities in all the temples and gurudwaras falling in the Chardham circuit. We are also working on Manaskhand Mandir Mala Mission for the mythological temples of Kumaon. Work is being done on Parvat Mala Project for construction of ropeway network in hilly areas. He said that the Chardham All Weather Road Scheme, Bharat Mala and Parvat Mala Schemes and development of airports are working to make the movement easier.
Chief Minister said that the state of Uttarakhand is providing important eco system services to the nation by conserving its forests, gorges and glaciers. In the allocation of resources among the states, a request has been made to the NITI Aayog as well as the Central Government to give importance to these ecological services. The Chief Minister said that a large number of pilgrims and tourists from the country and abroad travel in the state.
Population of Uttarakhand is about 1.25 crore, but every year about six crore people come to Uttarakhand in the form of floating population. In this way, the state government has to make arrangements for infrastructure facilities for about 1.25 crore people. Therefore, in view of the limited resources of the State, the allocation of financial resources by the Central Government is also expected to take into account this important fact of floating population.
