Case of Uttarakhand NEET PG counseling going on for admission in PG courses in medical colleges of Uttarakhand has reached the court. Due to this the counseling has got stuck. After the main phase is over on November 4, the schedule for the mop up round has not been released yet.
According to the HNB Medical University management, a student has filed a suit in the court that she could not get information about the counselling, due to which she could not participate and candidates with a lower percentile got the seat. On this, the court asked for counselling, but the matter has now gone to a double bench. There is a hearing on Monday. Vice Chancellor Prof. Hemchandra Pandey says that counseling is being done transparently.
Information is being given through website and advertisement. The student did not even register for counselling. Mop up round is open, in that registration can participate in counseling. According to the decision of the Supreme Court, two phases are to be conducted by November 16, if the High Court is asked for the second phase of counselling, then that too will be done.
Vice chancellor also put his side on counseling in supreme court
In a recent order, the Supreme Court has asked to complete the admissions for the first and second phase of NEET PG counseling by 16th November. Vice Chancellor of HNB Medical University Prof. Hemchandra Pandey said that the decision of the counseling board to conduct the main stage and mop-up round has been informed to the Supreme Court, which has been recorded there. This fact will be told through the advocate during the double bench hearing in the High Court as well.
