On the occasion of Home Guard Foundation Day 2022, soldiers organized a ceremonial parade in Uttarakhand. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami along with Commandant General Kewal Khurana inspected the parade. During this, the tableau of Civil Defense Organization was also included. At the same time, the Home Guard jawans also showed many feats.
Let us inform that a parade is organized every year on December 6 at Home Guard Headquarters Nanurkheda. CM Dhami also made several announcements on this occasion.
CM made these announcements
1. In 10 districts of Uttarakhand state-Udhamsinghnagar, Pithoragarh, Champawat, Almora, Bageshwar, Chamoli, Rudraprayag, Pauri, Uttarkashi and Tehri, women Home Guards volunteers will be recruited for one women platoon (total number-330) posts.
2. Food allowance of Rs. 180 per day will be given to Home Guards volunteers who are posted on duty from one district to another in the state and in election duty and ceremonial parades within the boundaries of the state.
3. Home Guards volunteers who get injured/sick within 24 hours of their duty will be given duty allowance for a maximum period of 06 months if they are admitted to the hospital during the entire service period.
4. The honorarium of unpaid platoon commanders will be increased from Rs 1000 to 1500 per month, the honorarium of unpaid assistant company commanders will be increased from Rs 1200 to 2000 per month and the honorarium of unpaid company commanders will be increased from Rs 1500 to 2500 per month.
Mobile application launched
On the occasion of Home Guards Day, keeping in view the objective of mental and emotional prosperity of the Home Guard volunteers, a unique beginning was made by launching a mobile application named ‘PAHAL’.
This application was launched in collaboration with an organization called ‘School of Life’. Through this, different resources related to mental health, such as psychological services, individual counseling and many video resources for self-help will be made available free of cost from home.
