Governor Gurmeet Singh and Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami launched “Prime Minister – TB Free India Campaign” in Uttarakhand today from Raj Bhavan, Dehradun. During this, the Governor and the Chief Minister, becoming Nikshay friends, adopted 21 patients and distributed monthly nutrition kits to them to help TB patients.
As the chief guest in the program, the Governor said that we have to take a pledge to help TB patients by participating in this campaign of public participation for eradication of TB. He also called upon the general public of the state as well as public representatives, non-government organizations to become friends.
In the program, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that it is our goal to make the state free from TB by 2024. Under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the state government is committed to include the state among the leading states of the country by 2025 with the cooperation of all.
While wishing the Prime Minister for a long life, the Chief Minister said that under his able leadership, India would become a Vishwa Guru and show the way to the world and Uttarakhand would work with dedication in realizing the concept of “Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat”.
During this, cabinet ministers Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat1, Ganesh Joshi, MP Mala Rajlakshmi Shah, Mayor Sunil Uniyal Gama, MLA Khajan Das, MLA Smt. Savita Kapoor, Brij Bhushan Gairola and officials of Health Department were present.
