Finance Minister Premchand Aggarwal has placed a provision of expenditure of Rs 5440.43 crore under the first supplementary budget of the financial year 2022-23 on the floor of the House on the first day of the winter session of the Vidhansabha.

Assembly Speaker Ritu Bhushan Khandudi said that on the first day of the session, many MLAs kept using the phone. Said that if the MLA is found using the phone, action will be taken. With this amount, the government will be able to increase the pace of its new schemes. Along with this, it will be able to include the contribution of the state in those centrally funded schemes, which were approved later. Finance Minister Aggarwal told that the original budget for 2022-23 was 65 thousand 571 crores.
After the original budget, in some centrally funded schemes, the budget was released by the central government. In some schemes, the government was expecting the budget. The government arranged funds for this. The government will also be able to reimburse this amount through the supplementary budget.
