Haldwani: Dengue is becoming fatal in Uttarakhand. A teenager suffering from dengue has died in Dr. Sushila Tiwari Government Hospital located in Haldwani. Relatives had brought him to the hospital in critical condition. She was undergoing treatment on ventilator.
13 years old girl was resident of Jaspur. On November 21, her relatives reached the girl with STH. His condition was very serious. Head of the Department of Pediatrics, Prof. Ritu Rakholia told that when she saw him, his blood pressure was very low. Pupils of the eyes were also not working. Along with suffering from dengue, she also had encephalitis. There was swelling in many places in the brain.
Four children suffering from dengue are still admitted
Dr. Rakholia told that he was treated for a few days by keeping him on ventilator, but she died on Tuesday. Presently four children suffering from dengue are admitted in the pediatrics department. His condition is normal. This is the second death due to dengue in Haldwani.
Four traffic police personnel in the grip of dengue
Here, dengue is also spreading in Rudrapur town of Udham Singh Nagar. In Rudrapur itself, four traffic police personnel have come under the grip of dengue. The condition of two of these is improving, while two are hospitalized. Kailash, a traffic police personnel posted in Rudrapur, along with three others were suffering from fever for the last several days. All were taking medicine from the doctor.
Improvement in condition of two police personnel
Constable Kailash’s health suddenly worsened on Monday night and he was admitted to a private hospital in the city. Apart from this, three other traffic police personnel are also undergoing treatment. On Tuesday, after the condition of two of them improved, they were sent home. Inspector Traffic Vijay Vikram told that four traffic police personnel were in the grip of dengue. Condition of two is improving, while two are undergoing treatment.
