Pauri Garhwal: Ankita Bhandari, daughter of Pauri Garhwal, has finally been bid farewell with moist eyes. Chief Minister Dhami’s appeal has had an effect. After more than 12 hours of protesting Ankita’s body was now agreed to be taken for cremation. Ankita’s body was taken to ITI Ghat, Srinagar.
In view of huge outrage, heavy police force was deployed at the spot. After appeal of Chief Minister Dhami, father of the deceased also said that he agreed with the investigation and action.
CM Dhami also spoke to Ankita’s family members over phone and assured of strict action against the accused.
It was reported that Ankita’s family members are not performing the funeral of daughter, but after persuading the administration, they agreed to perform last rites of Ankita. Ankita’s last rites have been done.
