16-year-old Mimansha created history by winning silver and bronze medals for the country at the Commonwealth Games-2022 Karate Championships in Birmingham. This opportunity is very special for Uttarakhand, because Mimansha hails from Uttarakhand.
Presently she is living in Ghaziabad. On Friday, Mimansha received a rousing welcome at St. Thomas’ School, Indirapuram. Mimansha is a class 11 student. She has always topped in sports as well as in studies. Mimansha is originally from Subhashnagar in Almora, Uttarakhand.
The family consists of father Hitesh Joshi, mother Namita besides sister Garvita, all of whom are extremely happy with Mimansha’s achievement. Mimansha won silver and bronze medals in the junior 48 kg weight category at the Commonwealth Games. She achieved these medals by defeating the players of many countries. Mimansha told that now she wants to win medals for the country in Asian Games and World Championships.
Mimansha studies in St. Thomas’ School, Indirapuram. There is also an atmosphere of happiness in the school due to his brilliant performance in the Commonwealth Games. The school management has made Mimansha’s education up to 12th free of cost. Along with this, a laptop has been presented to him as a gift.
