Pithoragarh News: Euthanasia is banned in India like many countries, but despite this, many people who are living life in troubles and all diseases, plead for euthanasia to the government. Soban Lal Verma, retired government employee of Pithoragarh suffering from serious illness, has also now submitted letter to the District Magistrate seeking permission for euthanasia from DM.
Sick old man was earlier working as gardener in DM’s office. At present, both his legs had to be amputated due to the high sugar level. In such situation, he is living life of helplessness and has sent letter to the President through the admin seeking euthanasia.
At the same time, taking cognizance of the matter, DM Dr. Ashish Chauhan, along with team of doctors, reached his house of aggrieved person, Soban Lal, where he met the ailing elders and their families and assured them of all possible help.
Please inform that retired government employee Soban Lal Verma (65 years) resident of Pithoragarh has been suffering from diabetes which was not being controlled.
Due to this his sugar level became so high that the infection started spreading in both legs. Because of this both his legs had to be amputated. Money received in retirement gets exhausted in his treatment itself and all saving funds also gets exhausted.
Pithoragarh District Magistrate Dr. Ashish Chauhan said that he had received letter in this regard. After which he reached Soban Lal Verma’s house and inquired about his well being and assured him of all possible help.
At the same time, DM Pithoragarh has given instructions to the ACMO and administration that as much possible treatment should be given to Soban Lal and he should also be counseled.
