Haridwar News: Garbage collection work stopped due to non-payment, garbage piled around the city

Haridwar News: Solid Waste Management Company on Tuesday stopped the work of collecting garbage from 60 wards of the Municipal Corporation area due to non-payment. Due to which there are heaps of filth in the city. The company Casa Green and KL Madan say they have not been paid for four months.

Salary crisis was in front of 250 employees
The company says that due to the stuck payment of crores of rupees, about 250 employees of both the companies were faced with salaries. Whereas extracting the rent of garbage vehicles had also become difficult. Due to which he was forced to take this step.

220 metric tonnes of garbage comes out daily
About 220 metric tonnes of garbage is generated daily from the city. At the same time, during the Ganga Snan festival and other fairs, up to 1200 metric tonnes of garbage is generated daily. For the disposal of garbage, a treatment plant has been set up in the trenching ground inn. There are also mountains of garbage.

Here’s what the Mayor says
Mayor Anita Sharma says that talks have been held with the officials regarding the payment. Companies will be paid soon. The employees are being talked about to improve the cleanliness system.
