Cleaning workers are on indefinite strike
This situation arose due to the strike of the sweepers. The sanitation workers have gone on an indefinite strike demanding increased honorarium. Due to this, the cleanliness system of the city should not be shaken, so Municipal Commissioner Pankaj Upadhyay himself took charge. He went to Kaladhungi Road and Nainital Road to collect garbage from house to house by becoming the driver of the garbage van. During this, the city health officer Dr. Manoj Kandpal was also with him, who was seen in the role of a helper.

The Municipal Commissioner drove the garbage van for about five hours. After this, the city health officer assumed the role of the driver and went towards Kathgodam to collect the garbage. During this, Municipal Commissioner Pankaj Upadhyay said that it is the municipal corporation and their responsibility to clean the city. That’s why he is engaged in alternative arrangements with other employees.

Municipal Commissioner said that the solution will not come out of the strike, so the sweepers should return from the strike. Municipal administration is ready for talks. He said that it is not a good thing to put the people of the city in trouble, so they themselves will have to do door to door garbage collection.
These are cleaning worker’s demand
The main demand of the agitating employees is to give an honorarium of Rs 500 to temporary environment friends and local sanitation workers as per the mandate. Now getting 275 rupees.
