The work of Haridwar-Nagina Highway was started in 2018. A highway of 71 km is being built in a project of Rs 827 crore.
Half the work has been completed, but for the last six months, the work was almost stopped due to non-availability of gravel and other materials, but now two days ago, permission has been given to Chugan, as well as the problems related to the forest department regarding the bridge. have gone away. Now the work will start again. In the next few days, the work of building the bridges will also start.
Two Elephant Corridors are being built: Two elephant corridors are being built on this route like Haridwar-Dehradun, so that elephants can pass under the bridge. Elephant corridor is being built after Chidiyapur and Peeli, Ravasan.
At the same time, there are more problems in the highway near Haridwar Shyampur and Chidiyapur to go from Haridwar to Kumaon, because the work has not been completed in many parts. In many places, a highway has been made on one side, but the other side has not been built. So people are taking more time.
The work has been delayed due to non-availability of goods, but now the work will be completed from March to April 2023. The work on the Elephant Corridor has been started.
