Dehradun: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Wednesday evening inspected the reconstruction works of the disaster-damaged Saung river bridge on Raipur Thano road. Expressing satisfaction over the smooth operation of the damaged bridge for speedy movement, the Chief Minister directed the officials to expedite the relief work. He also asked to expedite the permanent construction of the bridge.
CM met the local people and disaster victims and listened to their problems and gave directions to the concerned officers for speedy redressal of their problems.
He said that on the interests of the local people and on their demand, the construction of security wall around the river would be done as well as necessary help would be given by the state government in the damage caused to the houses of the people. He said that the government stands with the disaster victims.
All the concerned officials are working diligently to help the disaster victims. The Chief Minister said that an action plan is also being prepared in this direction to minimize the damage caused by the divine calamity.
Chief Minister said that a security wall would be constructed along with the embankment on the banks of the rivers. For this, if channelization of rivers is necessary, then that too will be done.
