Dehradun: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, after conducting on-site inspection of disaster-affected areas in and around Kumalda, directed the Commissioner Garhwal and District Magistrate Tehri to take the disaster-affected people to safer places and make adequate arrangements for food and other essential items for them.
The Chief Minister inspected the disaster-affected area from JCB and directed to make arrangements for alternate routes for movement till the blocked roads are opened and to ensure the supply of drinking water and electricity at the earliest. On this occasion MLA Umesh Sharma Kau, Pritam Singh Panwar, Garhwal Commissioner Sushil Kumar, DIG Garhwal K.S. Naganyal, District Magistrate Tehri Dr. Saurabh Gaharwar, SSP Tehri Navneet Singh Bhullar and officers of district administration were present.
Inspected damaged bridge on disaster-affected police station road
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, while inspecting the damaged bridge on the disaster-affected police stations, directed the officers to make alternate arrangements at the earliest to make the traffic smooth. Chief Minister Shri Dhami said that the administration and #SDRF teams are continuously making relief and rescue operations as well as other arrangements in the disaster-affected areas.
Legislators are monitoring every situation in their areas. He said that if there is a need for a helicopter, then the help of the army will also be taken. State helicopters have also been put on alert mode for disaster-affected areas. MLA Shri @umeshsharmakau and Garhwal Commissioner Sushil Kumar were also present during the inspection.
