Almora: Over speeding and breaking traffic rules, in such situation, if your child is under 18 years of age and he is driving, then you should immediately take back the car key from his hand. Not doing so can cost you heavy challan.
Actually one such case has come up in Almora, Uttarakhand. Here the guardian was forced to let his minor son drive the vehicle.
Interceptor team caught the minor driving by Scooty and set challan for Rs 25,000 under Motor Vehicles Act. Along with this, Scooty was also seized.
According to Almora police, interceptor vehicle was checking near taxi stand tirahe. During this, an unnumbered scooty was stopped. Driver as minor boy was not even wearing helmet.
Boy age is under 15 years as per Aadhar card. On which, interceptor in-charge Jeevan Samant called the minor’s father on the spot and handed over minor to him.
Almora SSP Pradeep Rai has directed all police station in-charges, traffic inspectors and interceptor in-charges to bring down road accidents in district, against those who drive dangerously under influence of drunken driving, driving of minors and rash driving. Strict instructions have been given to take action.
