Triple engine govt makes development at speed of bullet train: CM Yogi

Gorakhpur: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, while laying the foundation stone of four major projects worth Rs 1822 crore in Gorakhpur on Sunday evening, said that the triple engine government brings development at the speed of a bullet train.

Addressing the foundation stone laying ceremony of four major development projects related to flyover, four-lane, drainage and sewerage, costing Rs. 1822 crore in Gorakhpur today, Mr. Yogi said that due to having a double engine government of the same ideology in the center and the state, Uttar Pradesh will be successful. Rapid development is possible.

He said that when there is a government of the same ideology at the local level as well, then the triple engine government takes forward the development works at the speed of a bullet train. Gorakhpur has such a triple engine government. He said that the presence of all the nine MLAs, District Panchayat President and Mayor in Gorakhpur district is the result that development works are progressing at a rapid pace here and we all have to ensure that this pace of development does not stop.

Chief Minister said that there is no dearth of funds for development works. It is also the responsibility of the citizens to join the process of development, preserve the works done and take forward what is happening in a time-bound manner. There is no alternative to development. It is only through development that changes come in the lives of the citizens, employment is created. He directed the officers of the executing agencies to complete all the projects in a time-bound manner, taking special care of the standard and quality.

CM Yogi said that Gorakhpur, earlier infamous for mafia anarchy and disorder, has been presented by the state government as a model of development. Till the year 2017, the health system here was in ruins. Today AIIMS is here, BRD Medical College has super specialty services. In place of the closed fertilizer factory in the year 1990, the new factory is producing fertilizers at the rate of 105 percent. This food provider is working as a panacea for the farmers. A Sainik School is coming up in the premises of the fertilizer factory itself, which will start in the next academic session.

He said that every road in Gorakhpur is four-lane, so the Gorakhpur-Lucknow road is going to be six-lane. The distance from Gorakhpur-Varanasi Fourlane to Varanasi has been reduced to two and a half to three hours. The connectivity of roads is also solving the problem of jam. Excellent air connectivity is also available in Gorakhpur. There are 14 flight services from here to major cities like Delhi-Mumbai-Bangalore etc. The government is providing funds for the new airport here.

He said that Ramgarhtal, which was a stronghold of crime till eight-ten years ago, has developed into the most beautiful place. Films are being shot here now. Gorakhpur has become the hub of education and medicine. Investment is coming in Gorakhpur. Local youths are getting jobs and employment here, while people from all over the country and the world are also coming here for jobs and employment.

Appreciating the cooperation of the citizens of Gorakhpur, the Chief Minister said that the citizens of Gorakhpur never obstructed the development works. Whenever it came to the widening of roads, people agreed to give part of their houses and establishments. Asuran-Medical College Fourlane, Airforce, Circuit House Fourlane, Mohaddipur, Jungle Kaudia Fourlane are proof of this.
