New Delhi: Vigilance has sought the list of Uttarakhand direct recruitment inspector in 2015 from all the districts in connection with the recruitment scam in Uttarakhand. Information about the names, addresses and father’s names etc. of these inspectors posted in all the districts is being taken. Vigilance had registered a case against 12 accused on October 8. Many of these have also been questioned.
The rigging in 2015 Daroga direct recruitment was detected only at the time of paper leak investigation in graduate level recruitment examination. Till that time STF had strong evidence against 15 inspectors. But being a part of the STF police, it was recommended to get its investigation done through Vigilance. Vigilance conducted a preliminary inquiry on this and registered a case against 12 accused.
Many of them are already in jail on charges of various examination riggings. This exam was conducted by Pantnagar University. A former and a present officer of the university were also nominated in this.
Now Vigilance has sent a letter to all the districts asking for the details of the inspectors of this batch posted there. It is being told that all these will be questioned after getting the details. The evidence available with Vigilance in relation to these will also be matched.
Earlier, DGP Ashok Kumar had said that if any evidence is found against anyone, concrete action will be taken on it. Ever since the vigilance filed the case, all these duplicitous inspectors are also swollen hands and feet. However, nothing can be said about how long the investigation will last and when it will reach the turning point.
In the initial investigation, STF found evidence against 12 inspectors, but their number is said to be around 35. These inspectors are such that they do not even know how to write a case diary. But, meanwhile, there is also apprehension that the number of such inspectors may exceed 100.
