Two students doing B.Tech from Dehradun DIT got washed away in Ganga while taking bath at Namami Gange Ghat in Shivpuri. Both the students had come to visit Rishikesh from Dehradun on the day of Holi.
One of these students was Aditya Raj (22) resident of Kolkata and Utkarsh (22) resident of Agra in Uttar Pradesh.
On the other hand, a young man got swept away in the Ganges near Patna water fall in Laxman Jhula. Shobhit Yadav (30), a resident of Moradabad in Uttar Pradesh, had come to Rishikesh with friends. While taking a bath in the Ganges, he was hit by the strong waves of the Ganges due to slipping of his feet.
SDRF in-charge Kavindra Sajwan told that a campaign is being conducted to find the three youths who were swept away in the Ganges.
