Heavy snowfall in Uttarakhand, tourists come to enjoy

Hills of Uttarakhand are covered with snow. To see this beautiful sight early in the morning, tourists also turned to snowfall areas. Pictures of tourists enjoying the snowfall are coming in from different places. The Meteorological Department had also expressed the possibility of snowfall in Uttarkashi and Pithoragarh and snowfall was seen in many parts of the state this morning.

The hills of Uttarakhand are shining like silver. Tourists are thrilled to see snowfall. According to meteorologists, there will be a change in the weather due to the activation of Western Disturbance. According to the report of the Meteorological Department, the minimum temperature of one degree was recorded in Mukteshwar for the second consecutive day.

At the same time, the minimum temperature in Pantnagar was five degrees. Due to the huge decrease in the maximum and minimum temperature, it is getting extremely cold from the plains to the mountains. According to the Meteorological Department, there is no relief from the cold for the next one week.

Snow has increased the cold in the higher Himalayan regions. Milam, Panchachuli including Khaliyatop of Munsiyari received one inch of snowfall. In the low-lying areas, the cold has increased due to cloud cover throughout the day. One inch of snowfall has been received in Khaliatop, two inches in Milam, two inches in Nagnidhura, two inches in Laspa.

After snowfall in Khaliatop, the maximum temperature of Munsiyari has been recorded at minus two degrees Celsius. After increasing cold in Munsiyari, ponds and pipelines have frozen in Balati Eco Park.

Due to freezing of water in the taps, people are facing problems in the morning. Here, there was drizzle in the morning in various parts including the district headquarters Pithoragarh. Many other parts including Didihat, Bedinag, Kanalichina, Thal remained cloudy throughout the day. Pithoragarh market remained deserted throughout the day after the cold increased. Pithoragarh recorded a minimum temperature of 4.2 degree Celsius.

Vikram Singh, director of the Meteorological Center, said that in the next 24 hours, there is a possibility of snowfall in areas with a height of more than 2500 meters. The effect of rain and snowfall in the mountainous areas is also visible in the plains. In such a situation, the cold has increased in the plains.

From January 23 to 26, there is every possibility of heavy rain and snowfall with strong thunder from the plains to the mountains. In such a situation, there is a need to be vigilant at the state government, administration and district administration level.

Even in the capital Dehradun, it is getting cold today. The Meteorological Department has asked people to be alert. People had to face severe cold on Thursday in the capital Doon and surrounding areas.

Due to the change in the weather, the maximum temperature in the capital fell and the city dwellers had to face extreme cold even during the day. The minimum temperature was 8.7 degrees. Due to the very small difference between the maximum and minimum temperature, the coolness has disturbed.

According to the Meteorological Department, the next 24 hours can be cold and disturbing. Not only this, till one week i.e. till January 26, there is not going to be much relief from the cold. Medical experts say that for the last two days, the way tremendous cold is being seen. Seeing that people need to be alert.

Make complete arrangements to avoid cold, otherwise you may fall ill. Children and the elderly need to take special precautions. According to senior physician Dr. KC Pant, it is advisable to get out of the house only after wearing enough warm clothes.

In Chamoli district, snowfall continues in high altitude areas including Badrinath, Hemkund Sahib, Valley of Flowers Auli, Joshimath, Rudranath. The Chamoli-Ukhimath-Mandal-Chopta motorway has been blocked due to snowfall.

Tourists reached Lokhandi in Vikasnagar to enjoy the snowfall. NH Doiwala division has deployed two JCBs to clear the frozen snow on Chakrata Tuni State Road.

Second snowfall of the season in Jaunsar Bawar. Apart from this, there is heavy snowfall in Laltibba, Dhanaulti, Buranshkhanda of Mussoorie. There has been light snowfall in the higher reaches of Chakrata.
