One inch of snowfall has been received in Khaliatop, two inches in Milam, two inches in Nagnidhura, two inches in Laspa.
After snowfall in Khaliatop, the maximum temperature of Munsiyari has been recorded at minus two degrees Celsius. After increasing cold in Munsiyari, ponds and pipelines have frozen in Balati Eco Park.
Due to freezing of water in the taps, people are facing problems in the morning. Here, there was drizzle in the morning in various parts including the district headquarters Pithoragarh. Many other parts including Didihat, Bedinag, Kanalichina, Thal remained cloudy throughout the day. Pithoragarh market remained deserted throughout the day after the cold increased. From January 23 to 26, there is every possibility of heavy rain and snowfall with strong thunder from the plains to the mountains. In such a situation, there is a need to be vigilant at the state government, administration and district administration level.
