Garhwal News: Guldar (Leopard) entered a house in Ghansali during the night. After this he hunted the pet dog Leopard also got trapped in dog’s chain and kept trying to get rid of the chain all night.
Being tired, Leopard did not get helpless but lay down. When the people present in house came to know about this in morning, there was a stir.
Family members immediately informed about this to the Forest Department Ghansali. Forest department team reached on the spot immediately.
Forest department team reached the spot but without any equipment. They did not have the resources to tranquilize Guldar. After this the new Tehri Forest Department was informed about this.
Eventually the team from the forest department from Tehri reached on the spot and Guldar was tranquilized. By now a huge crowd had gathered at the spot.
Forest department had to take the help of police to clear the crowd. Injured Leopard was tranquilized and pulled out. The team said that due to old age, animal was unable to hunt anymore.
In such situation, Leopard was now moving towards residential areas. Wild animal is further injured due to being caught in the dog’s chain. At present, he has been kept under the supervision of the Forest Department team.
