Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami participated in the 23rd meeting of Central Zonal Council held in Bhopal under the chairmanship of Union Home Minister Amit Shah. During this, the Chief Minister also requested to organize the next meeting in Devbhoomi, Uttarakhand.
Chief Minister with the help of the Center started a campaign for the rejuvenation of natural water sources in the mountainous region, as well as requested for cooperation in Uttarakhand for a strong weather forecasting system, infrastructure with Doppler radar.
Chief Minister Dhami said that the reconstruction work of Shri Kedarpuri, the master plan of holy Badrinath Dham and construction of Rishikesh-Karnprayag rail project is progressing on a war footing under the able guidance of the Prime Minister.
The state government is moving forward to implement Uniform Civil Code in the state. Chief Minister suggested linking glacier based rivers with rainy rivers. He said that the state of Uttarakhand is providing important eco system services to the nation by conserving its forests, gorges and glaciers.
CM Dhami said that a large number of pilgrims and tourists from the country and abroad travel in the state. The establishment of a new airport in Chaukhutia area, located in the summer capital between Kumaon and Garhwal region, is very important from the economic and strategic point of view.
