Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, while taking meeting of Medical Education and Medical Health Department at Secretariat today, directed that system should be developed for online registration and token arrangement for patients to avoid long waiting lines for registration.
Chief Minister directed that helpline number 104 should be widely publicized to facilitate telemedicine. Ayushman cards, golden cards, cards issued by Labor Department and other health related cards should be brought on one platform for proper monitoring.
He said that innovative initiatives are needed to improve the health facilities in hilly areas of the state, doctors should be motivated to work in remote areas and efforts should be made to provide better health facilities to the people up to tehsil level.
CM Dhami said that such arrangements should be made that if newbaby is born in hospital, their birth certificate should be given by hospital itself. After rainy season, outbreak of viral, dengue and malaria remains high, all necessary arrangements should be ensured in hospitals to deal with it.
Chief Minister directed that strict action should be taken against the agencies involved in construction works which are getting delayed and responsibilities should also be fixed. To make Uttarakhand drug-free state by 2025, all departments will have to do well-planned planning.
Additional Chief Secretary Radha Raturi, Secretary Health Dr. R Rajesh Kumar, Additional Secretary Arunendra Chauhan, Amandeep Kaur, Director General Health Dr. Shailja Bhatt, and departmental officers were also present in the meeting.
