Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that the general budget presented in the Parliament will prove to be very beneficial for Uttarakhand. With the provisions made in the budget, the airport will be developed and expanded in the state, nursing colleges and tourism tourist destinations will also be found.
Chief Minister Dhami reacted on the Union Budget 2023-24. He described the budget as the budget to lay the foundation of a strong India. He thanked the Prime Minister and congratulated Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman for presenting a wonderful budget. CM said that the economy of the whole world is faltering. Despite the difficult conditions, India has emerged as a global leader from the 10th to the 5th economy.

With the appointment of teachers and employees in Eklavya Residential School, people will get employment in the state’s Eklavya Residential School and new Eklavya Residential School can also be constructed. BJP State President Mahendra Bhatt, Additional Chief Secretary Anand Bardhan, Director General Information Banshidhar Tiwari and State Media Incharge Manveer Singh Chauhan were also present in the press conference.
The state will get benefit of more than five thousand crores
The Chief Minister said that the state is expected to get 25 per cent more share in central taxes. With this, the state will get about Rs 2500 crore more. The state is expected to get an amount of Rs 1100 to 1500 crore under the Special Capital Assistance Scheme in the form of an interest-free loan for 50 years. About Rs 1500 crore is estimated to be available for Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-4, Swachh Bharat Mission and Jal Jeevan Mission.
Coarse grains will get a boost, Unity Mall will open
The CM said that agriculture is an important sector for the state. The increase in credit in agriculture will benefit farming and farmers. Coarse grains and agro-based startups will get a boost. Unity mall can be established in the state for promotion and sale of local products. The Finance Minister specifically named Mandua in Millet in his speech. The state government is constantly making efforts to increase the production of Mandua. Ramdana is also produced. Annashree Yojana will benefit the farmers producing these grains.
Tourist destination will be found
The CM said that arrangements have been made to develop 50 new tourist places in the budget. New tourist places will also be developed in Uttarakhand. Under the Swadesh Darshan scheme, the first villages of the country will be connected with tourism development.
Four new nursing colleges will be found, cities will develop
He said that Uttarakhand will get four new nursing colleges. New lab in the budget, investment in pharma sector will increase. Employment opportunities will be available to skilled youth in nursing. For the development of Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities, loans will be available at affordable rates from the National Housing Bank.
New airport will be developed
The CM said that provision has been made to establish 50 new airports in the country. With this, new airports will be developed in the state, new helipads will be built. With this scheme, both tourism and employment opportunities will be available in the state. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India’s role has become that of a global leader.
