Haldwani: Chief Administrative Officer found dead in hotel’s room, alcohol & poisonous substances were found too

Dead body of a passenger who stayed in a hotel room near Haldwani Roadways bus stand has been found. The dead body has been identified as a resident of Almora. The police have informed the relatives. Two sons of the deceased Anshuman, Sunil and son-in-law Manohar Sirkal left for Haldwani after getting the information.

Radha Krishna Joshi (53), a resident of Mehra village in Chinkuda Patgaliya, Almora, was staying in room number 301 of Tiwari Tourist Yatri Hotel near Haldwani Roadways bus stand on Tuesday. After going into the room, he did not come out of the room till one o’clock on Wednesday afternoon.

The hotel staff knocked on the door but there was no response. After this information reached Kotwali police station, Kotwal Harendra Chaudhary and SSI Vijay Mehta reached the spot. When the police entered inside the room by breaking the door, Radhakrishna’s body was lying on the bed.

A half-empty bottle of liquor and vials of poisonous substance have also been recovered from the room. The body was identified from the identification information obtained from the hotel register and the copy of the Aadhaar card.
