Dehradun: ‘Uttarakhand Bandh’ (State Shutdown) has been called in whole state today i.e. on Sunday in connection with Ankita Bhandari murder case. This announcement has been made by Uttarakhand Kranti Dal, which has got support of about 40 organizations apart from Congress.
Everyone is demanding in one voice that all culprits should be hanged by running Ankita Bhandari murder case in fast track court. The effect of the bandh called today is also being seen in many districts.
Markets are completely closed from Uttarkashi to Dehradun, Haridwar. There is also news of complete shutdown in Pauri. In view of “Uttarakhand Bandh”, police and district administration have also completed their preparations.
Uttarakhand Police has divided the cities into 9 super zones, 21 zones and 43 sectors. On the other hand, march was also taken out by opposition parties and social organizations to make ‘shutdown’ successful. This is all about to their support was sought to get justice for Ankita.
