How to worship Maa Shailputri in Sharadiya Navratri?
In Navratri, worship and Aarti must be done both in the morning and in the evening. On the first Navratri, install the idol or picture of Maa Shailputri by spreading red or white cloth on a wooden plank. White color is very dear to the mother and she wears only white colored clothes, so offer only white or red colored flowers to the mother.
After this, light a lamp of ghee in front of Maa Shailputri, offer sweets made of white color to the mother. It is said that offering pure ghee to Maa Shailputri blesses people with a life free from diseases and ailments. After this, sit on a white seat facing north and chant the mantra ‘Om Shailputraye Namah’ 108 times.
