On Wednesday, the first day of Chaitra Navratri, the date for opening the doors of Gangotri Dham has been fixed. The portals of Gangotri Dham will be opened for the devotees on 22nd April. On 21st, the Bhog idol of Maa Ganga will leave for Gangotri. This time the Chardham Yatra will start from 22nd April.
The government is engaged in preparations to facilitate the journey of pilgrims coming from the country and the world. The government is hopeful that the number of devotees visiting Chardham Yatra will create a new record.
Please inform that now the devotees will be able to watch the Aarti of Gangotri Dham sitting at home. For this, the Tourism Department is going to install high-end cameras in the temple under the Prasad scheme, so that during the Char Dham Yatra, there will be live telecast of Aarti on the website of Uttarakhand Tourism Department every day.
Under the central government’s Prasad scheme, many other development works including beautification are being done in the four dhams. Under this plan, the tourism department is also going to install high-end cameras in all the four Dhams so that devotees can watch the aarti and other religious rituals taking place in the Dhams sitting at home.
In the first phase, this work will be done in Gangotri Dham in Uttarkashi district by the tourism department. For this, the tourism department has asked Bridkul, the executive body of the Prasad scheme, to send an estimate for the installation of cameras.
After the installation of the cameras, the live telecast of the religious rituals and aarti in the Gangotri Dham complex will be done on the website of the Uttarakhand Tourism Department. Devotees will be able to see the Aarti of Gangotri Dham from here.
