During the Chardham Yatra, movement of Yatra vehicles will be done in Joshimath as before. According to the traffic plan by the police administration, the travel vehicles will be sent from Marwari Chowk to Badrinath Dham via Narsingh Temple, while vehicles will be evacuated from the petrol pump via the main market. Local vehicles will also have to pass through this traffic plan.
The Badrinath Highway has also reached a tight condition at many places due to landslides in Joshimath. The condition of the highway has remained dangerous due to the dismantling work of Mount View and Malari Inn Hotel in Singhdhar. Here the highway is in the grip of landslide up to 20 meters.

Previous traffic plan will remain same
On behalf of the police administration, after meeting with the officials of the Border Roads Organization (BRO) and the Public Works Department, it has been decided to keep the old traffic plan intact.
Commanding Officer Major Aina said that before the commencement of the Chardham Yatra, asphalting work of the highway will be done from Malari Inn and Mount View Hotel to Badrinath Stand in Joshimath Nagar. Soon after the completion of the demolition work of the hotels, the improvement work of the highway will be started. The repair work of the highway from Petrol Pump to JP Colony and Marwari Bridge will be completed before the yatra starts.
EE Surendra Patwal told that the highway improvement work will be done from Joshimath’s Marwari Tirahe to Singhdhar, Narsingh temple and petrol pump. Wherever the highway is damaged due to landslides, repair work is being done there. At two places the pavements of the highway are damaged, where asphalting will be done before the commencement of the journey.
