The doors of Kedar Shri Tungnath, the famous third of the Panchdars, have been closed for the winter legislation at 11.30 am on Monday. Under the process of closing the doors, the self -styled linga of Tungnath ji was touched. Darshan was seen in the temple in the morning. The process for closing the doors started from 9 am. Hundreds of devotees were present on the occasion.
After the closure of Tungnath ji’s doors, Tungnath’s moving Vigraha Doli was seated in the temple complex. After the circumambulation of the temple, the first stop departed for Chopta where the doli of Lord Tungnath ji was welcomed. Today Devdoli will rest night in Chopta. On 8 November, Dev Doli will reach Bhankun via Badtoli and stay in the night.
On November 9, in the morning, Devdoli will reach its winter throne Sri Markandeya Temple Makkumath. After worshiping, the Doli temple will be seated in the sanctum sanctorum. On the occasion of the closure of the kapat, Joint Secretary of Kedarnath Utthan Charitable Trust / Temple Committee Chief Officer Yogendra Singh, Executive Officer RC Tiwari, Chief Administrative Officer Rajkumar Nautiyal Temple Manager Balbir Negi, Mathapati Ram Prasad Maithani, Chandramohan Bajwal, Pujari Atul Maithani, Ravindra Maithani , Ajay Maithani Doli etc. were present.
