Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh (UP) anti-terrorist squad (ATS) on Sunday arrested six individuals for working an unlawful arms manufacturing unit in Pratapgarh.
The accused individuals had been recognized as Shayal Alam aka Chhotu, Mohammed Sarfaraz Alam and Mohammed Azad (all from Munger in Bihar), Tirupati Nath Verma aka Guddu Gandhi of Gorakhpur, Swaline Ansari aka Bablu and Akhlin Ansari, each from Pratapgarh.

IG, ATS, GK Goswamy mentioned they had been tipped off a few gang concerned in manufacturing and sale of unlawful weapons.

“After finishing floor work, an ATS crew, together with Pratapgarh police, performed a raid in Asrahi village underneath Lalganj police station space and nabbed the accused,” the IG mentioned.
“The crew recovered 300 cartridges (every of .32 bore), two pistols (.32 bore), two countrymade pistols,17 semi-finished pistols, an enormous amount of semi-finished countrymade pistols, lathe machines, furnaces and different tools,” the IG added.
He mentioned the ATS would produce them earlier than the courtroom and search their police custody.
