Dumka: Police arrested two accused and sent them to jail for raping a minor in Mufassil police station area of Dumka district in Jharkhand.
Police said that as per the instructions of Superintendent of Police Amber Lakra, a team was constituted under the leadership of Sub-Divisional Police Officer Noor Mustafa Ansari and Police Inspector Umesh Ram.
The police team raided Balabahal village of Muffasil police station area and arrested the nominated accused Mithu Soren and Mangal Mumu and sent them to jail.
On 20 January 2022, on the written application of the minor’s mother, an FIR was lodged at the Muffasil police station regarding the rape of her minor daughter.
Mithu Soren and Mangal Murmu were made named accused in this case. Both the accused were on the run since the incident. Meanwhile, on the basis of secret information, the police raided and arrested both of them and sent them to jail.
