Lucknow: A bailable warrant (B.W) issued against Waseem Rizvi for ignoring the court attention in a 6-year-old lawsuit. Wasim Rizvi is the Chairman of Shia Central Waqf Board. Shia religius scholar Sayed Kalbe Jawad Naqvi filed a report on him in 2014, Wazirganj police station under section 307, 302,120B.
Significantly, in the year 2014, after police lathicharge and some miscreants attacked Karrar Mehdi and lost his life, Imam Juma Maulana Syed Kalbe Jawad Naqvi filed FIR against Waseem Rizvi as main accused. During investigation, U.P. police had put the final report which was rejected by Chief Judicial Magistrate AP Singh and again issued warrant to Waseem Rizvi and others.
Court issued B.W. on ignoring the notice and given responsibility to the Lucknow Police Commissioner to carry out the order. It remains to be seen whether the court orders are followed by the police or the court will be misled once again saving Wasim Rizvi.
