Lucknow: A new phase of vaccination has started in Uttar Pradesh from today. From today 6 lakh people will get vaccinated every day. This new phase of vaccination will run till June 30. Every day 10 – 12 lakh people will be vaccinated from July 1.
State Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath today reached Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Civil Hospital, Lucknow to see the vaccination campaign. While watching the vaccination system, UP CM Yogi Adityanath said, “When the program of vaccination started from January 16, since then vaccination is being done continuously in Uttar Pradesh.
In the first phase, the work of giving vaccine to all health workers was done, in the second phase, the program of giving vaccine to Corona Warriors on priority basis started from 1st February and after that the program to give free vaccine to people above 60 years of age. In the fourth phase, there was a program to give vaccine to people above the age of 45 years and after that from May 1, a program of giving vaccine to people in the age group of 18-44 years was run.
He said, “This program of vaccination was being done by the state governments at their level for the 18-44 class and the central government was providing the vaccine free of cost to all the people above 45 years of age, but I would like to express my gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra. Modi who started the process of giving free vaccine to all the people of 18 years and today the program of vaccination has started in more than 60 thousand booths inside Uttar Pradesh.
He further said, “Corona is under control with government effort and public cooperation, but no lapse or laxity should be made. Corona has weakened, it is not over. So keep following the protocol and whenever the numbers come, get the vaccine. ”
CM Yogi said, “We have set a target of giving 6 lakh vaccines daily from today and 10-12 lakh vaccines per day from the first week of July. We will provide complete coverage to every citizen above 18 years of age by December.” To provide a protective shield against the corona pandemic while vaccinating it.”
